MODEC Senegal award long-term Tank Inspection and Facility-Wide Inspection Services on FPSO Léopold Sédar Senghor to Global Energy Ventures

Global Energy Ventures are delighted to have been selected by MODEC to provide inspection services for the FPSO Léopold Sédar Senghor (LSS) and supporting onshore operations at Senegal’s first offshore oil development in the Sangomar field.  Under the agreement, Global Energy Ventures will deliver a full scope of non-destructive testing (NDT) and class-recognised inspection services onboard the vessel, including API 510 and API 570 inspections aligned with the asset’s risk-based inspection (RBI) programme, as well as rope-access NDT techniques. The scope also includes advanced NDT methods including phased array ultrasonic testing (PAUT) and time-of-flight diffraction (TOFD), along with comprehensive hull and tank inspections, ultrasonic thickness measurement (UTM) in line with applicable requirements, and full onshore data reporting.
